TIP: Protect your work surface by working with a grate set over a plastic tub or tray to catch the excess paint drips.

  1. Find three (or more) various sizes of pumpkins. This project can be done on foam, plastic, or real pumpkins.
  2. Instruction #1
  3. Basecoat each pumpkin with an Americana Acrylic color, using a 1" flat brush. I used Eucalyptus Leaf, Cactus Flower, and Desert Turquoise. Allow to dry. Apply a second coat, if needed, and allow to dry.
  4. Instruction #2
  5. Using a makeup sponge, apply the first coat of Bronze Extreme Sheen onto each pumpkin stem. Allow to dry. Using a soft flat brush, paint a second coat of Bronze onto each stem. Allow to dry.
  6. Instruction #3
  7. Use the Soothing Nature Fluid Art Ready-to-Pour Acrylic Pack for the Cactus Flower–painted pumpkin. Set the pumpkin on a large disposable cup to allow excess paint to drip off.

  9. Pour a layer of each color into a small disposable cup tilted to the side. Pictured here in order are: Cay Green, Dusty Aqua, Ivory, Cay Green, and Deep Teal. Start with about 1 oz. of each color. You can always pour multiple cups if needed.
