Serve game day beverages on these football-themed coasters made with Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• stylus or pencil
• tracing & transfer paper
• paintbrushes
• ceramic tile(s)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Using a medium brush, basecoat the ceramic tiles with White Birch. Allow to dry and give a second coat. Let dry.

2. Once the basecoat is dry, use the tracing and transfer paper to copy the images onto the ceramic tiles.

3. Paint the background Turf Green on the helmet and football tiles, avoiding, if you can, the insides of the football and the helmet as well as the outside of the helmet. (The 50-yard line coaster can be painted completely with Turf Green.) Allow to dry and add a second coat.

4. Fill in the helmet with Blue Bird and the football with Cocoa Bean. Allow to dry and add a second coat.

5. To create the 50-yard line coaster, use the pattern provided and White Birch.

6. Paint in the football laces and helmet grill in White Birch. Add accents such as wisps of grass by blending in White Birch and Turf Green in equal parts. For an extra pop, highlight grass with wisps of just White Birch. Outline the football and helmet using Black Tie. Allow to dry. Use DuraClear Matte Varnish to seal the surfaces of the coasters. (Follow the instructions on the label.)
