Fun Pastel Geo Box

Add pops of color to any corner on a geo box full of soft Americana® Acrylic colors.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • ruler
    • wooden box
    • #3 round brush
    • 1/2" flat brush
    • 1" painter's tape
    • fine line painting pen or script

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Sand everything down until it is smooth and make sure the lid fits.
    2. Paint both box and lid Soft Heather with the 1/2" flat brush. Set lid aside.
    3. Measure down 1" from the top of box and 1" from the bottom. Place two pieces of 1" painter's tape on all sides to create a uniform band around the the entire box.
    4. Using the #3 round brush, paint vertical lines around the top and bottom bands using Dragon Fruit, White Wash, Soft Heather, and Baby Pink. (Do this on the top and bottom, as shown.)
    5. Move tape 1/4" away from the area just painted and paint this area Pistachio Mint with the same brush, followed by vertical lines of Sour Apple.
    6. Add large dots of Baby Pink randomly over the bottom and top sections of box with the #3 round brush.
    7. Using a fine line painting pen or script brush, thin Dragon Fruit paint to consistency of ink and fill pen or load brush. Paint dashes to look like stitching. (See photo.)
    8. Paint feet and top ball Sour Apple with the #3 round brush and dots on the lid are painted Pistachio Mint.
    9. Seal with several light coats of Americana Gloss Spray Finish.
