SUPPLIES

    • pencil
    • painter's tape
    • journal
    • paintbrushes
    • scrap paper

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Gather the materials, including a journal.

    3. Tape off the left edge of the journal cover.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Place a scrap piece of paper under the cover. Paint the front of the journal cover with Jadeite Glass. Let dry. Apply a second coat of paint, if needed. Let dry.

    7. Remove the painter's tape.

    9. Place the Let Love Bloom stencil on the painted surface and tape in place. (See photo.)

    11. Load a brush with Matcha Green and dab off most of the paint. With a pouncing and circular motion, apply paint to the leaves on the stencil surface.

    13. With a clean brush, use the previous technique to apply Melon onto the flowers of the stencil. Place dots of Mermaid Tail onto the circles. (See photo for placement.)

    15. Remove the stencil. Allow to dry. Mix a tiny amount of Snow White to each of the colors of paint used to make pastel versions. Use these mixes to add highlights to the leaves, petals, and dots. Let dry completely.

    17. Tape off a line in the unpainted area.

    19. Paint the line between the taped areas with Aged Bronze. Also add accents to the stenciled design with Aged Bronze. Remove the tape and allow to dry.

    21. Add dot accents to the remaining unpainted area with Jadeite Glass. Allow to dry.
