Harvest a bushel basket full of Patio Paint Outdoor™ color with these garden signs.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • pencil
    • #2 round brush
    • #8 flat brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • three 3" x 7" wooden plaques
    • three wooden dowel rods

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. PEAS Sign: Use a pencil to trace and transfer the design onto a wooden plaque.
    2. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the outer border and the peas banner Larkspur Blue.
    3. Use the same brush to paint every other stripe Fiesta Yellow and the rest, Daisy Cream.
    4. Use a #2 round brush to paint the pea pod Mistletoe Green and the peas, Apple Green.
    5. Use the same brush to outline and write "PEAS" in the banner using Wrought Iron Black.
    6. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the dowel Fiesta Yellow. Let dry. Glue the dowel onto the back of the painted wooden plaque using a hot glue gun.
    7. SUNFLOWER Sign: Use a pencil to trace and transfer the design onto a wooden plaque.
    8. Use a #8 flat brush to paint outer border Blue Bahama; inside, Vintage Rose; flower center, Woodland Brown; and rectangle, Cloud White.
    9. Add Cloud White dots on the flower.
    10. Use a #2 round brush to paint outer petals Sunshine Yellow; and the inner petals, dots to flower center, the word "Sunflower"; and the inside border, Sunflower Yellow.
    11. Use the same brush to paint the stem and around the Cloud White rectangle Mistletoe Green.
    12. Use Wrought Iron Black to outline the background, "Sunflower", and the rectangle.
    13. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the border between the Blue Bahama outer border and the Vintage Rose background with Sunflower Yellow.
    14. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the dowel Fiesta Yellow. Let dry. Use a hot glue gun to glue the dowel on onto the back of the painted wooden plaque.
    15. TOMATOES Sign: Use a pencil to trace and transfer the design onto a wooden plaque.
    16. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the outer border Holly Berry Red; inside, Larkspur Blue; and tomatoes, Geranium Red.
    17. Use a #2 round brush to paint stems Mistletoe Green. Rinse brush and use it and Cloud White to paint the word "Tomatoes" and add highlight on tomatoes and dots on the outer border.
    18. Use the same brush and Wrought Iron Black to outline border, tomatoes, banner, and word "Tomatoes".
    19. Use Cloud White to outline banner and write "Seed Co."
    20. Use a #8 flat brush to paint wooden dowel Larkspur Blue. Let dry. Use hot glue gun to glue the dowel onto the back of the painted wooden plaque.
