Geometric Color-Blocked Planter

Blocks of Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylic color add interest to a simple concrete planter.


    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • masking tape
    • paintbrushes
    • concrete planter


    1. Using masking tape, mark off a triangle shape, lining up the third edge with the top of the planter's lip. Paint the triangle in Soft Jade, applying more layers as needed for coverage.

    3. Let dry and remove the masking tape. Mark off another triangle that sits flush against the Soft Jade triangle and the bottom edge of the planter. Paint this triangle in Pumpkin Patch. Let dry.

    5. Once dry, remove the tape and mask off a third triangle, making sure the tip lines up with the Pumpkin Patch triangle and the end is flush with the lip of the planter. Paint this triangle in Baby Blue. Let dry. Once dry, remove the tape.
