    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. If needed, sand all the wooden pieces (candlestick; plaque; oval; cap). Wipe away any dust with a damp paper towel. Paint all the wooden surfaces with Black Tie.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a 1/4" flat brush with Iris and Burnt Orange to paint accent stripes on the oval plaque, dowel cap, and candlestick. (See final photo for color placement.)
    4. Apply One Step Crackle to the top of the oval plaque with a 1/2" soft brush. (Do not overwork.) Let dry two to four hours. Apply Black Shimmer with a soft cloth on top of the One Step Crackle. Wipe off any excess with a damp cloth.
    5. Instruction #3
    6. Position the stencil of your choice over the sides of the plaque. (Shown: diamonds) Use a palette knife to smooth White Modeling Paste over the stencil. Carefully lift off the stencil. Use the palette knife to clean any Modeling Paste that might have run over the edge. Repeat for the remaining sides.
    7. Instruction #4
    8. Using a #3 round brush, apply Majestic Purple to each diamond shape. When dry, use a soft cloth to buff.
    9. Measure the front of the wooden plaque, excluding the beveled edge. Cut the shape out of desired scrapbook paper. Apply Americana Matte Decou-Page to the front of the wooden plaque and the back of the paper. Smooth the paper into place using a brayer or old credit card, working from the center outward. Apply another coat of Decou-Page on top.
    10. Use E6000 Glue to attach the dowel cap to the top of the wooden plaque according to package instructions. Attach the candlestick to the wooden plaque and then to the bottom of the wooden oval.
    11. Instruction #7
    12. Find and print out images of a child, wings, and a cat. Use a craft knife to cut out images.
    13. Using a detail brush, paint Ice Crystal over the dots on the child's dress as well as her hair bow and shoes.
    14. Cut a small piece of foam from the cosmetic sponge. Load ink from a black ink pad onto the sponge and use it on the edges of the cut-out images.
    15. Fill the holes of the skull with Modeling Paste.
    16. Instruction #11
    17. Using the foam adhesive spacers, attach the wings to the girl and the cat to the plaque. Attach the broom, trinkets, beads, and any additional embellishments with craft glue.
