Haunted House Luminary with Flying Bats

Light up the ghosts and goblins in your house with a Halloween luminary created with Multi-Surface Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- #2 round brush
- clean glass jar
- #10/0 liner brush
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Wipe jar clean with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol. Insert template into jar and position as desired.
- Using a liner brush, paint the house outline with Americana Multi-Surface Acrylics in Black Tie.
- Paint the windows and door outline in Black Tie. Begin filling in the buildings with a #2 round brush. Paint the roof by making tiny strokes coming from the roof.
- Paint the remainder of the house in with Black Tie.
- Mix a 4:1 ratio of Steel Grey and Black Tie to make a dark grey. Fill in the door with #2 round brush. Once dried, paint in door knobs and hinges with a liner brush.
- Using a liner brush, paint tree in Coffee Bean to the right of the house.
- On the backside of the luminary, paint tree in Coffee Bean.
- On the left side of the house, paint in tree with Coffee Bean.
- Using a liner brush, paint in small cat heads in two of the front windows in Black Tie. Paint in bats above the house as well.
- For added durability, bake jar according to paint packaging instructions.
