Haven Recap

Posted by DecoArt on Aug 3rd 2015

Hey everyone... Tanner and Courtney here!
The DecoArt blog is becoming our second blogging home. Hopefully you all
aren't getting tired of us!
A few weeks back we had the pleasure of going to Haven Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Haven is a 2 day DIY conference for bloggers and influencers with amazing sponsors; DecoArt being one of them. We're here to give you a recap of the weekend for those of you who were not able to attend.

We had a blast at the DIH (Do it Herself) Workshop with Anna White sponsored by Home Depot. We all used Ryobi power tools to build a wooden serving tray and painted them with Americana Decor paints! Some people got creative with DecoArt stencils and even the new Decou-Page papers. They turned out awesome!

In the DecoArt booth we played with the Metallic Lustre line, which is pretty much like magic. I can't tell you how many people were saying things like, "Wow! I had no idea how awesome this stuff was. I'm going to have to buy some as soon as I get home." If you haven't played with it yet, try it out. It is super easy to apply, dries almost instantly, and is so shiny!

Here's a quick vine we made:
A definite highlight of the conference was Robin Gay's Decou-Page class. We had so much fun with all the ladies who came to the class with a range of decoupaging experience. We all had fun and learned some new tricks and were inspired to decoupage pretty much everything in our homes.

Another fun part of Haven was the keynote speakers. We loved Mandi from Vintage Revivals; her speech about Integrity and Authenticity was so inspiring!

All in all, the Haven Conference was awesome! If you're a DIY blogger, this is a definitely a conference that you need to check into. We can't wait for next year! Maybe we will see you there?
