Heart Button Frame

Button up a Valentine’s wall accent frame for your sweetheart with Americana® Acrylics.


    • pencil
    • 1/2" flat brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • masking tape
    • wooden frame
    • red buttons
    • fabric



    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Paint the entire frame Warm White with the 1/2" flat brush. Let dry. Repeat with a second coat.
    2. Remove the cardboard backing from the frame and cover with a fabric scrap, adhering it to the cardboard backing with hot glue.
    3. With a pencil, draw the outline of a heart. Hot glue buttons inside the boundary of the heart. Set aside to dry.
    4. When the frame is completely dry, place masking tape strips at 1” intervals horizontally. Paint between the strips with Sea Glass. Let dry.
    5. Carefully remove the tape and fix any uneven lines. Put fabric-covered cardboard backing back inside the frame.
