INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Apply a coat of White Gesso to the back and front of each hockey stick. Purposefully make the Gesso uneven in various spots to help achieve a vintage look.
- Paint one coat of Carbon onto both hockey sticks with a foam brush.
- Sand any parts of the wooden letter and wipe clean with a damp paper towel.
- Paint one coat of Carbon onto both sides of the letter.
- Paint a rough coat of Rustic over the hockey stick and wooden letter, purposefully letting the Carbon show through.
- Go over the hockey sticks and wooden letter again with a random dry-brush of Carbon.
- For the wooden letter, paint the front surface with a rough, dry-brush coat of New Life and paint the edges in the same way with Inheritance.
- For the hockey sticks, use painter's tape to mask off thick stripes at the top of both sticks. (Be sure to line them up evenly.)
- Dry-brush Inheritance in between the New Life areas on the hockey sticks, again making sure that Carbon and Rustic show through here and there.
- Repeat the previous steps to create striping on the bottom of each stick.
- Cross the two hockey sticks in a slight X pattern and attach one to the other using E6000 Glue according to package instructions.
- Attach the wooden letter to the top hockey stick with E6000 Glue.
