Store baseball gear in this vintage crate painted with Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• rectangular wooden crate
• paintbrushes
• dry rag

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use the provided pattern to draw the bat, ball, and home run plate on the wooden crate. Paint home plate and the ball in Lace. Let dry and, once dry, apply a second coat. Paint the bat in Timeless. Allow to dry and apply a second coat. Paint the ball's laces in Romance and the tape on the bat in Relic and Carbon. Allow to dry thoroughly.

2. Once the paint is dry, paint Clear Crème Wax over the ball, base, and bat. Allow to dry. Using a dry rag, roughly wipe Golden Brown Crème Wax over the ball, base, and bat so that it looks like the red clay from a baseball field. Allow to dry.

3. Use the pattern to add the lettering for "Home run!" Paint in Romance and add highlights with Heritage.

4. Add swishes above the bat in Romance and highlight with Heritage. Use the crate in a child's room or use to organize sports equipment.
