    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Choose your saying and then lay out your letters in a way you like. Mix upper and lower case letters randomly. Make a pencil mark where each line starts.
    2. Using a ruler and a pencil, make light horizontal lines on the canvas so your letters are straight. Make a vertical line down the left of the canvas so you can line up the beginning of each word. Do not skip this step. The letters really need to be straight.
    3. Glue down all the letters except the ones that are going to be your accent word in a different color. Take your time to get the spacing right. The glue will be wet for a while so you can adjust spacing as needed.
    4. Using the 3/4" flat brush and Pebble, paint over the whole canvas, including letters and the sides. Also paint the space left blank where you will later put the accent word.
    5. Paint the letters for the accent word, in this case, "teA", using Shrimp and the 1/2" flat brush. Make sure to paint the edges of the letters.
    6. Measure exactly where you want to place the last word and mark its space with painter's tape so the letters will be straight.
    7. Glue down the last word.
    8. Use the #3 round brush and Pebble to touch up any areas where you see the edges of the letters.
