Illustrate a map of your favorite state using Americana Premium Tube Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

• transfer paper
• pencil
• flat brush
• canvas
• round brush
• liner brush

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix Primary Yellow with a small amount of White. With a flat brush, paint the canvas. Leave a small and loose border around the canvas. Once it has dried, transfer the provided pattern.
2. Mix White with some Cadmium Orange and paint the state and borders in mixture. Paint sun in Cadmium Orange with a round brush. Mix White and Cerulean Blue. Use a liner brush to paint in the river.
3. Mix Cadmium Orange with Burnt Umber and use a round brush to paint the shadow area of the snake and the entire Grand Canyon. Add White and paint the highlight area of the snake and highlights onto the Grand Canyon.
4. Base coat the cacti in Yellow Green with a round brush. Mix Yellow Green with a little bit of White. While the paint is still wet, blend in the lighter mix.
5. Mix Yellow Green with Burnt Umber. Use a round brush to paint in the mountain. Use a liner brush to add lines onto cacti. With a round brush, paint White on top of mountains.
6. With a liner brush, add text in Black.
