INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Assemble the puzzle and decide which part of the puzzle image is going to be kept.
- Use Americana Paper Decou-Page to adhere the puzzle pieces together, coating the front and back for stability. Adhere onto the canvas. Adhere the cat head image in the desired area on canvas.
- Free-hand or use the pattern provided for the image, transferring with transfer paper and a pencil onto the assembled puzzle.
- Paint around the image in Black Tie.
- Using Paper Decou-Page, adhere the Americana Paisley Punch Decou-Page Paper to the body of the bird. Outline with a Glorious Gold (Metallic) 3D Writer.
- Free-hand a bird wing onto Paisley Punch Decou-Page Paper. Cut out the wing. Decoupage the wing onto the body of the bird. Outline with a Black 3D Writer.
- Apply a coat of Paper Decou-Page to the bottom 1/4 of the canvas. Apply book pages to this section and apply another layer of Paper Decou-Page on top. While it is still wet, decou-page the Paisley Punch paper slightly below where the book page begins. Apply a layer of Paper Decou-Page on top.
- Create legs from the Paisley Punch Decou-Page Paper and adhere to the body with Paper Decou-Page. Outline the legs and feet in Black 3D Writer. Sew on the buttons for the knees.
- Decou-page a border of puzzle pieces along the bottom of the canvas approximately 1/2" away from the edge. Rub Patina Green Antiquing Cream on top of the pieces; let them dry and then rub off the remaining Antiquing Cream with a damp cloth.
- Free-hand the word "Karma" with a script liner brush and Cotton Ball onto a puzzle piece. Punch with a hole and thread chain through. Pierce holes in the canvas where the chain will go through. Run the chain through and connect in back.
- Use a hot glue gun to adhere feathers and flowers to the tail of the bird.
- Complete the piece by decou-paging book pages along the sides of the canvas.
