Layered Leather Earrings

Customize a pair of earrings to match your favorite outfits by painting them with Patent Leather paints.


    • ruler
    • flat brush
    • fine point permanent marker
    • rotary fabric cutter
    • earrings
    • leather ribbon


    1. Using a rotary cutter and mat, cut leather to desired shape. The ones shown are 1/2 inch wide and 1,1-1/2, and 2 inches long. Cut two of each size.

    3. Mark triangle on the back. Center dot 1/4 inch from the bottom/ Draw a line to each corner of leather.

    5. Cut out triangles.

    7. Paint each piece using Turquoise, Black, and White. Let dry to touch and paint an additional coat if desired.

    9. Once paint is dry attach earring hardware.
