Let It Snow Frame

Frame your favorite snow scene in shimmering Americana Acrylic colors.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- pencil
- #3 round brush
- 3/4" flat brush
- #10 flat brush
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- sponge daubers
- wooden frame
- tracing & transfer paper
- large wooden circle
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Allow to dry between painting steps.
- Remove the back and glass of the frame and set aside. Trace and transfer the pattern to the front of the wood frame.
- Use the 3/4” flat brush to paint sky ¾ of way down on the frame Blue Harbor. Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush with Snow White for snow (make ground wavy) and to paint the wooden circle.
- Use the #10 flat brush to add pine trees using Hauser Light Green. Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush to mix (1) part Snow White and (1) part Blue Harbor and then use mix to add highlight to snow and on the wooden circle.
- Use a large dauber dipped in Royal Purple for eyes and small dauber with same color for the mouth.
- Using the #10 flat brush, paint the scarf on the frame using Desert Turquoise, Royal Purple, and Snow White. Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush to paint a nose on using Bright Orange.
- Use the #3 round brush and Royal Purple to paint “Let it Snow!” Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush with Snow White to add highlights to eyes, nose, mouth, and behind “Let it Snow!” and to add snow to tree branches.
- Use handle end of #3 round brush to add Snow White polka dolts randomly for snow.
- Glue snowman head to the frame overlapping the scarf a slight bit.
- After all is completely dry, reassemble frame, inserting a winter photo.
