Merry & Bright Christmas Sign

Use DecoArt paint and your Cricut machine to make a customized sign for the holidays!
SUPPLIES
- 1" angle brush
- jute
- Cricut Cutting Vinyl
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut Weeding Tool
- Cricut Transfer Tape Bulk
- black washi tape
- -hot glue gun with clear glue gun sticks
- Wood Plaque
- #4 Stencil Brush Americana Accessories
- Cricut 12x24 Standard Grip Cutting Mat
- Cricut XL Scrapper
- C-7 Light Bulbs
INSTRUCTIONS
- Dry brush wood plaque with Americana Acrylic Green Tree paint. Allow to dry.
- Create a wash with 2 parts water to 1 part Americana Acrylic Light Lime. Use this to drybrush on top of the Green Tree color. Allow to dry.
- Take washi tape and wrap the bottom of the bulb.
- Paint nine C-7 Bulbs using Americana Multi-Surface Satin (Lipstick, Canary, Turquoise Waters) and Americana Acrylic (Green Tree).
- Using the Cricut Maker, Cricut Stencil Vinyl, and the cut file found at the bottom of this project, cut “Merry & Bright” stencil. You will need a 12"x24" mat.
- Using the Cricut Weeding tool weed the stencil.
- To place stencil onto wood plaque use Transfer Tape, smooth out any bubbles with the Cricut Scraper and remove the Transfer Tape slowly.
- Using the Americana Stencil Brush No.4, dry brush Americana Multi-Surface Satin Lipstick onto wood plaque.
- Tie a knot in the jute and hot glue to the upper left corner, repeat with the other end on upper right corner. Hot glue the painted bulbs onto the jute and board as desired.
