    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Allow the canvas to dry completely between adjusting the stencils to get the best image outcome.

Be sure to clean the stencil each time so the paint doesn't bleed or smear.

    1. Paint one of the canvases in Melon. Paint the entire surface, using multiple coats if necessary. (Don't forget to paint the sides as well.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Paint the second canvas using White Peach. Cover the entire surface again, using multiple coats if necessary.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Use the Array of Arrows Stencil to add geometric lines of arrows to the remaining canvas: Start the first line of arrows at the bottom of the canvas and use Gold (Metallic) to stencil them in. Paint a second line, ending at the top of the canvas, about 1" away from the first.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Repeat the same process, this time using Deep Midnight Blue: Space the next two lines 1" apart from the Gold (Metallic) lines and each other; position the stencil so the arrows are going the opposite way. Space them so they don't line up with either the Gold (Metallic) lines or each other.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Use the Zig-Zag Stencil to create the geometric design on the White Peach-painted canvas. Line the stencil up with the edges of the canvas since they are the same width (12").
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Fill in the first line of zig-zags with Gold (Metallic); skip the next one; paint the third one with Melon and the last with Deep Midnight Blue. (You will need to adjust the stencil to get all the lines filled in. Make sure to wash and dry the stencil between adjustments so the paint doesn't bleed or smear.)
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Use the Silhouette file to create a vinyl stencil. Place it centered on the Melon-painted canvas. Fill in the letters in Gold (Metallic). Remove the stencil promptly for smoother lines.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. To create the arrow, use a large paint and smaller paint stirring stick. (Cut the small paint stick to 12".) Roughly paint it with White Peach, making sure to leave some wood showing through. (You can also purchase a pre-made arrow from most craft stores.)
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Cut the larger paint stick into 6 pieces. Cut all pieces at a 45-degree angle. The feather pieces should be 2.75" long once they have been cut out.
    18. Instruction #9
    19. Attach the two arrowhead pieces together with wood glue. Attach the feather pieces together to create to separate feathers. Attach the arrowhead and the feathers to the smaller paint stick with wood glue. Paint the arrow and feathers roughly with Melon and White Peach.
    20. Instruction #10
    21. Add a white flower to the blank space on the White Peach-painted canvas, using hot glue.
    22. (Optional) Cut a 2" x 2" board 14" long and paint it white. Use it to give height to the Melon-painted canvas when displaying on a shelf or dresser.
