Mini Stool Makeover

Mini Stool Makeover

I picked up this little wood stool at a yard sale last month for $1.00. I loved it and even liked the yellow color but it definitely needed a good sanding a fresh coat of paint.

Items Needed:

  • Paint Brush
  • Soft Cloth

Instructions:

I chose to use American Décor Chalky Finish paint in Heritage – a nice deep yellow/orange color.

I gave it a light sanding, and 2 light coats of paint.

Then lightly distressed it along the edges with some medium sandpaper.

I chose to use dark wax on it to give it an aged look and also add some protection.  I brushed it on and then wiped off most of it and then buffed once it was dry.

It adds a pop of color on top of this armoire in my guest bedroom and I just love it!

Not bad at all for $1.00 spent at garage sale and about an hour of time. Keep your eyes peeled for those garage sale signs – you never know what you might find!
