Andy Skinner and Tracy Weinzapfel took over a Chicago hotel for a weekend of mixed media workshops, demonstrations, and FUN! This was the first time a Ministry of Mixology retreat was held in the United States and we hope not the last! We were even joined by several DecoArt Helping Artists and DecoArt Mixed Media Design Team Members... see if you can spot them in the photos below!

The group overcame many hurdles to create this amazingly collaborative Dare 2 Create piece on the first day of the workshops.



In Tracy's class participants worked on a canvas full of fun texture, layering, and of course -- color! The group incorporated stencils to add texture and finishing inspirations.

In Andy's class, attendees were able to complete a journal cover using Andy's signature mega crackle style. Even with the same process, we were amazed at all of the variations in color and texture.
