Celebrate patriotism this 4th of July with a stenciled box as a decor accent or storage for holiday decorations.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• scissors
• 2" flat brush
• 3/8" stencil brush
• 1" painter's tape
• papier mâché box

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

Wash the stencil brush between paint color applications. Make sure to dry well with a paper towel or soft cloth.

1. Make sure the box surface is clean and dust-free.

2. Use a 2" flat brush and Yesteryear to paint the lid. Rinse brush. Use the same brush and Treasure to paint the bottom of the box.

3. Use scissors to cut out the star section of the Americana Decor American Tribute Stencil on the provided lines and flip backwards. (Refer to photo.)

4. Load the 3/8" stencil brush with Treasure. Pounce in the star section. (See photo.)

5. Use the same stencil brush and Rouge to stencil the stripes on the flag.

6. Use the same stencil brush and Everlasting to paint all the stars.

7. Use the same brush and Carbon to fill in all the words and numbers. Rinse brush. Remove and wash the stencil.

8. Once the box and lid are fully dry, use the 2" flat brush and Ultra-Matte Varnish to seal.
