Monogrammed Canvas Mini Tote

Carry this personalized tote on your next trip to the market.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 1" flat brush
    • cardboard
    • 1" painter's tape
    • small burlap tote
    • iron and ironing board
    • small round brush
    • 1" stencil brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Iron the canvas tote surface flat, if needed.

    3. Insert cardboard or waxed paper inside the tote to prevent the paint from bleeding through to the opposite side.

    5. Using 1" painter's tape, create a square outline.

    7. Using a 1" flat brush, apply a basecoat of Snow White to the outlined square.

    9. Position the stencil in desired location. Secure with tape, if needed. (Shown: the chevron from the Between the Lines - Saloon Stencil) Use a stencil brush to apply Marigold. (If the stencil is not large enough, you may need to re-position it and align the stencil to complete the background.)

    11. Position the monogram stencil as desired. (Shown: Between the Lines - Saloon.) Apply Heritage Brick using a stencil brush.

    13. Using a small round brush, outline the square with Heritage Brick. Rinse brush. Let dry. Once dry, outline the monogram and chevron square with Lamp Black.
