NOEL Letters with Holiday Style

Spell out a holiday greeting with Dimensional Effects and Americana Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • pencil
    • painter's tape
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • palette knife or craft stick
    • glue
    • wooden snowflakes
    • flat back pearls
    • papier-mâché letters spelling "NOEL"
    • black ribbon
    • metal buckle embellishment
    • #10/0 liner brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use 3/4 flat brush to paint letters N, E, L, and snowflakes Snow White and letter O Primary Red
    2. Letter N: glue on snowflakes then use palette knife to spread Dimensional Effects on stars and randomly on letter. Once dry, dab with Light Buttermilk and sprinkle with Glamour Dust. Adhere pearls to center of each snowflake.
    3. Letter O: Use palette knife to add Dimensional Effects to top of letter mimicking Santa beard and to bottom mimicking Santa's coat fur. Once dry, dab with Light Buttermilk and sprinkle with Glamour Dust. Create Santa belt with black ribbon and buckle and adhere to center of O.
    4. Letter E: use pencil eraser as stamp. Dip into Primary Red and stamp dots onto letter. When dry, draw lines with liner brush. Add little "v" shape lines to two ends of each circle to create peppermint candy.
    5. Letter L: wrap painter's tape diagonally around letter L and use 3/4 flat brush to paint Primary Red. Let dry; remove tape.
