SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors

    • 3/4" flat brush
    • 1" painter's tape

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove the stickers and tags from the t-shirt; prewash with no softeners. Dry.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use scissors to cut a piece of freezer paper or wax paper and put inside the t-shirt to prevent the paint from seeping through.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Use scissors to cut the painter's tape into long, horizontal stripes.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Use the 3/4" flat brush to mix (1) part Lamp Black with (1) part Fabric Painting Medium. Use the mix to fill in all the stripes. Rinse brush. Let dry completely and remove tape.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Roll up both sleeves.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Pull a piece of tulle through the neck and sleeve.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Tie into a bow and use scissors to cut off ends.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Repeat this on both sleeves.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Use a hole punch to add holes all the way across the bottom on both sides. The more holes, the fuller the tutu will be. (I made mine about an 1" apart.)
    18. Instruction #9
    19. Pull the tulle through and tie in a loose knot. Use scissors to cut ends. Repeat all the way around shirt.
    20. Instruction #10
