Hosting a Cookie Party here is an easy woodland decoration idea using Multi Surface and decoupage!

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • #10 flat brush
    • jute or hemp cord
    • drill and small drill bit
    • floral wire
    • scrap wood
    • craft essentials med birch value bag 20 pcs.

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. You will need mini birch rounds. Enough for all the letters you need to create a banner. This 20 piece package from JoAnn was perfect!
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Place the rounds on a scrap piece of wood. Then use the drill to make a tiny hole at the tops of each round. Use a paper towel to wipe off all saw dust.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Use a #10 flat brush with the entire color palette to paint the rounds in any order you choose. The colors listed are: Turquoise Waters, Pink Tropics, Brown Sugar, Cotton Ball, Deep Turquoise, Apple Green, Pumpkin Patch, Coastal Waters, and Shrimp. For this banner, there are more wood rounds than colors so you will need to repeat some colors.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Print letters with a free font size in a font of choice. I colorized mine on the computer then printed and cut out each individual letter. For best results, print on a laser jet printer. See "Helpful Hints" below if you plan to use an ink jet printer. NOTE: Match font size to size of rounds used.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Use the #10 flat brush and Matte Decoupage to adhere a letter to each birch round.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Brush more decoupage on top to seal. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Use scissors to cut floral wire into 4" strips for the "Christmas " Banner since the wood rounds are larger in size. Cut strips for the "cookie" banner about 3" since they are smaller circles.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Put the wire through the hole and twist at bottom. Leave open.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Use scissors to cut jute the length you need for the banner. Stretch the jute out on your crafting surface. Position the rounds under the jute. Attach the rounds by twisting and wrapping the wire around so the ends are not sticking out. Now you may decorate for your cookie party!
