Painted Floral Wooden Crates

Ring in spring with these pretty and functional crates with Americana® Acrylics painted flowers.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • paper towels
    • transfer paper
    • #3 round brush
    • 1" angular shader brush
    • pencil
    • wooden nesting crates

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Allow paint to fully dry in between steps.

    1. Paint the wooden crates with a coat of Driftwood. Let dry.

    3. Once the crates are dry, download and print out the floral pattern. Layer the pattern on top of a piece of carbon or transfer paper onto the crate and trace the pattern with a pencil to transfer the design.

    5. Mix both Coral Blush and Black Plum 50/50 with Warm White to get lighter tones. Use a #3 round brush to paint in the designs. (See photo for color placement.)

    7. Once the shape is dry, use a 1" angular brush to add details to the flowers using Black Plum and Coral Blush. Let dry and use 1" angular brush and Hauser Light Green for the leaves.

    9. Use a 1" angular brush to apply Champagne Starburst on the corners to add a hint of glamour.
