Painted Traditional Wedding Invitation & Envelope

Alert friends to an upcoming wedding with hand-painted cards made with Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics


    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • scissors
    • pencil
    • flat brush
    • lace
    • #1 liner brush
    • #1 round brush
    • cardstock
    • decorative edge scissors
    • E6000 Glue
    • card and envelope


    1. Use a pencil to sketch a rectangle onto cardstock to fit the card and a smaller one to fit the envelope. Use decorative edge scissors to cut out both rectangles.

    3. Use a flat brush and Paper Decou-Page to adhere the cardstock to the card and back of the envelope. Rinse brush. Let completely dry.
    4. Use a pencil to trace and transfer on the patterns.

    6. Use the round brush to paint Red Barn flowers. Rinse brush.

    8. Use the same brush to paint Deep Turquoise flowers. Rinse brush.

    10. Use the same brush with Night Sky to paint the dark blue flowers. Mix Red Barn with Night Sky; use the mix to outline the red and turquoise flowers. Rinse brush.

    12. Use the same brush to paint leaves and vines with Woodland Green and highlight with Cactus. Rinse brush.

    14. Use a liner brush with Eggplant to add flowers and outline the dark blue flowers. Rinse brush.

    16. Use a round brush to paint on the words and initials with Night Sky. Rinse brush.

    18. Use scissors to cut ribbon.

    20. Use E6000 Glue to adhere the ribbon to the envelope.

    22. Once fully dry, it is ready to fill out the inside and mail off.
