INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use a 1" flat brush to paint the entire canvas with Serene. Place the Americana Decor Versatile Checks Stencil down on the canvas and, using a cosmetic sponge, dab on Lace. Turn the stencil to make a checkered pattern and, using a cosmetic sponge, randomly dab on Timeless and Delicate.
- Use a pencil to trace the bird pattern onto the canvas. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the bird's body in Innocence and the wing in Delicate.
- Use a #8 round brush to paint the beak in Delicate. Mix (1) part Rouge with (3) parts Innocence. Use the mix with a #8 round brush to paint outline the bird's body and the Xs on the belly. Save mix for later step.
- Use a #8 round brush to outline the wing, beak, and Xs in Heritage.
- Use painter's tape to mask off 3/4" border around the canvas. Use a 1" flat brush and the same mix from step 3 to paint the canvas' top, bottom, and sides.
