Patriotic Stars and Stripes Picnic Set

Celebrate the Fourth with some American ingenuity by turning galvanized tubs into a festive picnic set.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- burlap ribbon
- hot glue gun
- 3/4" flat brush
- #6 flat brush
- #1 liner brush
- masking tape
- small chip brush
- wooden stars
- E6000 Glue
- galvanized tubs
INSTRUCTIONS
- Use a paper towel and rubbing alcohol to wipe the tubs clean.
- Use masking tape to mask off stripes.
- Paint the stripes alternately Lipstick and Cotton Ball using a 3/4" flat brush.
- Use a chip brush and Cotton Ball to lightly dry-brush over the stripes.
- Use E6000 to glue the burlap ribbon around the tub.
- Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint five wooden stars in varying sizes in True Blue and 10 in varying smaller sizes in Lipstick. Using a small chip brush, lightly dry-brush over the stars in Cotton Ball.
- Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint the center portion of the smaller bins in Cotton Ball and use a #1 liner brush with Lipstick to add detail lines.
- Using a #6 flat brush, paint the top and bottom stripes of both smaller bins in True Blue.
- Use a small chip brush to lightly dry-brush over the True Blue stripes.
- Decorate by adhering the wooden stars to the small tub with E6000. (Refer to photo for placement.)
