NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Cut, sand, and stain a 1" x 6" x 9" board in a color of choice. Set aside to dry.
- Paint six tin cans using Everlasting. Let dry.
- Cut out stars with the provided cut file and a Silhouette cutting machine. Put the vinyl star stencils on the painted tin cans. Use vinyl and painter's tape to create the desired patterns of stars and stripes. Paint using Rouge and Honor.
- Sand to distress the tin cans. Wipe off any sanding dust with a damp paper towel.
- Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to desired areas of the wooden board you would like to be distressed. Paint the entire board using Everlasting. Let dry.
- Sand off the distressed areas where you applied the petroleum jelly. (This will give you a chipped paint finish.)
- Attach the desired drawer handle to the top of the wood board for easier carrying of the holder.
- Attach the cans to 1" x 6" board using a ratchet screwdriver to the insides of the cans. (Use two screws per can.)
