Peace, Love, and Latkes Coordinating Frames

Make these coordinating frames and holiday messages with Glass Paint Markers and Americana Decor® Chalky Finish.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • sandpaper
    • scissors
    • ruler
    • pencil
    • painter's tape
    • 1" flat brush
    • screwdriver
    • 1" foam brush
    • white paper
    • scrapbook paper
    • wooden frames

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove any hardware and lightly sand the three wooden frames. Wipe away any sanding dust with a paper towel.

    3. Apply one to two coats of Everlasting, Legacy, or Serene to each of the frames with a 1" foam brush. Let dry completely.

    5. Apply Light Satin Varnish to each dry frame with a 1" flat brush.

    7. Print the desired text and flourishes onto plain white copy paper. Clean the frame glass with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol. Position the glass on top of the paper and tape into place. Using White Glass Paint Marker, trace over the design.

    9. Cut patterned scrapbook paper to the same size as the frame.

    11. Assemble the glass, scrapbook paper, and cardboard backing into the frame. Secure the pieces in place with frame tacks or tape. Repeat on other two frames with different text and flourishes.
