Chalk this oh-so practical tote up to being fashionably outfitted with Americana® Chalkboard Paint.

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • scissors
    • pencil
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • chalk
    • hand drill
    • jute twine
    • small burlap tote
    • small wood plaque

    Allow to dry between steps.

    1. Use a 3/4” flat brush to paint plaque with a coat of Black Chalkboard Paint. Let dry and repeat as needed. Rinse brush.
    2. Once the plaque is dry, use a pencil to mark where you want the holes in the plaque.
    3. Use a hand drill to make two holes in the plaque.
    4. Use the tip of a pencil to make holes in the tote to match those in the plaque.
    5. Use scissors to cut jute or string. Loop jute/string through the plaque and tote and tie it into a bow.
    6. Use the side of the chalk to condition plaque.
