Highlight a holiday refrain in a festive plaid print using Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™.

SUPPLIES

• sandpaper
• pencil
• flat brush
• white transfer paper
• round brush
• wooden sign

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Using a flat brush, paint the background of the wooden sign in red.

2. Mix together red with some black. Use the mix and a flat brush to create vertical and horizontal stripes that are the width of the brush. With a round brush, paint a thin line of grey over stripes. (Refer to photo.)

3. Distress the background with sandpaper as desired.

4. Transfer the provided pattern onto the surface. With a small round brush, paint the lettering in white.
