Give welcoming color and style to a vintage desk with Americana Decor® Chalky Finish paints and Stencils.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• paper towels
• sandpaper
• ruler
• pencil
• painter's tape
• 1" flat brush
• screwdriver
• 2" foam roller
• 1" stencil brush
• Con-Tact® paper
• stationary desk

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Sand any rough surfaces or edges of the desk. With a damp paper towel, thoroughly wipe all surfaces to remove any dirt or sanding dust. Remove any hardware that you do not want paint on.

2. Roll Serene on the entire desk with a 2" foam roller. Let dry. Once dry, apply an additional coat; use a 1" flat brush to get into any crevices. Rinse roller and brush.

3. Using the 2" foam roller, roll Whisper onto the inside of the desk. (Use the 1" flat brush to get into the tight areas.) Let dry and apply an additional coat once dry.

4. Find the center of the inside of the desk. Position and firmly tape the Americana Decor Posh Pineapple Stencil onto the desk.

5. Using a 1" stencil brush, apply Heritage to the pineapple and Enchanted to the rest of the Post Pineapple stencil. (Lightly dip the brush into paint and dab excess onto paper towel.) Rinse brush between colors and at the end.

6. Carefully lift and remove the stencil while the paint is still wet to reveal the design.

7. Brush on Soft-Touch Varnish to all desk surfaces.

8. Replace the hardware, including the inside chain.

9. Measure and cut coordinating Con-Tact paper for the inside the drawers. Adhere to the inside of the drawer, slowly removing any bubbles or wrinkles.
