Postage Suitcase

Put your sense of adventure into a suitcase, for travel or storage.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • ruler
    • pencil
    • 1" painter's tape
    • #4 flat brush
    • cosmetic sponges
    • fabric suitcase

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove all tags from the suitcase.

    3. Center the Americana Decor Postcard from Paris Stencil on top of the suitcase. Use separate cosmetic sponges for each color. Load with Black Tie, Blue Lagoon, School Bus, Lipstick, and Paprika to dab on the stencil elements. (See photo for color placement.) Wash stencil.

    5. Around the edges above the zipper, use a ruler to make a postage border using a pencil.

    7. Use a #4 flat brush and Lipstick to paint every other dash. Rinse brush. Use same brush and Blue Lagoon to paint the other dashes, leaving the spaces in between blank.

    9. Use painter's tape to protect the name tag section.

    11. Position the Postcard from Paris stencil diagonally. Load a cosmetic sponge with Lipstick to fill in the cancellation mark section of the stencil over the taped tag section. Wash stencil.

    13. Position the postmark cancellation part of the stencil off to the corner edge. Use a cosmetic sponge and School Bus to fill it in.

    15. Repeat the stencil using the "No. 157" section with a cosmetic sponge and Paprika.

    17. Off to the side of the tag, position the stencil's "carte postal" section; use a cosmetic sponge and Black Tie to fill it in.
