Add a lively floral print to a plain photo album with SoSoft Fabric Paints.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• tracing paper
• transfer paper
• liner brush
• #8 flat brush
• 8" x 8" linen photo album

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Print off pattern; trace and transfer to the album front. (See photo for placement.)
2. Outline the flower petals with a #8 flat brush and then fill in with Fuchsia.
3. Add a fine outline on petals in Wine with a liner brush.
4. Go around petals again with a #8 flat brush and Fuchsia to blend in Wine outline a little.
5. Use a liner brush to add Baby Pink Deep stripes to the petals, starting from the center of the flower and brushing outward quickly. Repeat on all petals.
6. Paint the leaf next to the flower Yellow Green with a #8 flat brush. Pick up tiny bit of Wine on the tip of the brush and blend it with Yellow Green to create shadowed areas.
7. Add White streaks on the flower petals with a #8 flat brush, as with the Baby Pink Deep stripes in step 5.
8. With a #8 flat brush, randomly add swirls in Wisteria, Baby Pink Deep, Indian Turquoise, and White. (Make sure some swirls extend onto spine of album.) Let dry.
9. When the flower is dry, add the flower center in Canary Yellow with a #8 flat brush.
