Pumpkin Witch Halloween Décor

This colorful bewitching accent will add interest to any corner of your home this Halloween.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • transfer paper
    • pencil
    • #3 round brush
    • 1" flat brush
    • toothpicks
    • #4 round brush
    • 1" painter's tape
    • small wire cutters
    • small Styrofoam balls
    • foam pumpkin
    • ribbon to match
    • tulle
    • papier-mâché witch's hat
    • feathers
    • floral wire
    • E6000 Glue
    • wooden candlestick

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Apply two coats of Eggplant using a 1" flat brush to the entire hat.
    2. Use painter's tape to mark lines from the tip of the hat to the brim.

    4. Paint the space between the tape with two coats of Chartreuse. Carefully remove the tape while paint is still wet.

    6. Repeat lines all the way around the hat, approximately six lines total.
    7. Using a #4 round brush, free-hand the lines connecting the vertical lines. (Make these slightly curved.) Let dry. Once dry, apply Glow-in-the-Dark Paint over the webbing.

    9. Add a band of coordinating ribbon around the hat. Create a bow and adhere using E6000 Glue.

    11. Paint two small Styrofoam balls with Pumpkin Patch. Let dry. Once dry, apply Glow-in-the-Dark Paint over them. Attach the balls together with a toothpick and E6000 Glue.

    13. Cut eight pieces of wire to the desired length for spider legs. Curl the ends of them around the handle end of the #4 round brush. Insert each leg into the large Styrofoam ball. Remove; coat with E6000 Glue' and reinsert for added adhesion. Add two gemstones for eyes.
    14. Paint the candlestick in Black Tie. Let dry. When dry, use E6000 Glue to attach feathers to the top. Add tulle or other desired embellishments.
    15. Use a pencil to free-hand the face of your choice onto the pumpkin. Use a #3 round brush to paint the face in Black Tie.
    16. Assemble the centerpiece. Attach the pumpkin onto the candlestick using E6000 Glue. Attach the hat onto the pumpkin. Attach the spider and added feathers onto the hat brim. (See photo for placement.)
