    1. First I applied a coat of Gesso to my board. This will seal the board and allow the paints to go on easier and maintain the bright colors.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. One coat is enough.Let dry and transfer the pattern on. Even if you trace on the entire pattern, you will paint over the details and add them later.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Paint around the pumpkin with Cobalt Teal Hue. Add a little interest by blending in a bit of the White Gesso here and there.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Basecoat the pumpkin with Vermillion Hue.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Transfer the pattern on to the pumpkin. We will use 4 different colors to create depth.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Use the dome blender brush to highlight the pumpkins high spots with Cadmium Orange Hue. Repeat with Diarylide Yellow.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Shade between the pumpkin sections with Burnt Sienna. Let dry. Repeat with Quinacridone Gold Hue. Drybrush and then float the final highlights with Primary Yellow.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Shade around the pumpkin using the 1/2" angle shader and Prussian Blue Hue. When the paint is already dry, I like to use the Extenter in my brush to help blend the paint.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Trace on the missing leaf and the tag. Basecoat the leaves with Gesso. Let dry. Basecoat again with Yellow Green Light. Shade the leaves with Pthalo Green Yellow. Highlight the leaves with Primary Yellow. Deepen the shading with the Pthalo Green Yellow mixed with a touch of Prussian Blue Hue. Basecoat the pumpkin stem with Burnt Umber. Blend in a little Carbon Black to shade. Highlight with some strokes of Titan Buff.
    18. Instruction #9
    19. Basecoat the tag with Titanium Buff. Shade with Burnt Umber. Use the 10/0 Script Liner to line the "Pumpkins 25c" with Carbon Black watered down to an ink-like consistency. Line the leaves, string and the entire pumpkin design with the same.
    20. Instruction #10
