    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove the jackets from the books.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Tape off the pages of the books and paint each on the front, back, and binding with Sea Glass, Slate Grey, or Whispering Turquoise. Let dry and add a second coat. Let dry.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Using a 1" dry brush, dab on a bit of Brown Vintage Effects Wash onto the brush and gently brush long strokes onto the book surface. Wipe immediately with a paper towel to soften the color. Repeat this step until you achieve your desired look.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Glue the cover of the book to the inside pages. Paint the edges of the book with Matte Decou-Page so the book remains closed. Add the cup hook onto the book. (You can glue it on, and also reinforce it with the screw that is included in the package. The screw also helps to hold the pages together.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Find images of flowers, print off, and cut out carefully.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Place the cut out flowers around the book. Once you are pleased with the look, adhere them to the book with Decou-Page.
