Sailing Away Hurricane Candleholder

Turn a glass hurricane candleholder into a lovely summer centerpiece with Americana® Decor™ Chalky Finish for Glass.

SUPPLIES

    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #8 round brush
    • 1" painter's tape
    • glass hurricane candleholder

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Place the pattern on the inside of the hurricane candleholder and tape into place with painter's tape.
    2. Using a #8 round brush, outline the boat in Whisper. Using a 3/4" flat brush, fill it in.
    3. Using a #8 round brush, paint the mast in Relic.
    4. Using a #8 round brush, paint the flag in Everlasting.
    5. Using a #8 round brush, paint the life preserver in Everlasting. Paint the stripes on the life preserver in Relic.
    6. Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint the water in Serene. Using a #8 round brush, add wavy dots in Everlasting.
    7. Using a #8 round brush, paint a few fish randomly above the water in Whisper. Dot their eyes in Relic.
