    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • ribbon
    • sponge
    • two wooden stamp blocks - 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 3/4" and 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 3/4" - 1 each
    • Santa graphics

    1. Wipe block with soft paper towel to get rid of any debris or dust.
    2. sponge with water, squeezing out excess. Load with a touch of Everlasting Chalky Finish Paint and paint block.
    3. Pull sponge from the top of the block to the bottom using long strokes until the front of the block is painted. This should be more of a "wash" look, not a completely covered coat.
    4. Repeat for small block.
    5. Let dry, then paint a wash of white on the other side.
    6. Paint a wash of white on the top, sides and bottom of the block; let completely dry for 2 hours.
    7. Santa image: Load 3/4” Flat with Americana Décor Image Transfer Medium. Paint the front of the block. Lay the medium on with a light touch to minimize lines and pooling; smooth with the flat of the brush. Lay image ink side down on block. Gently press into block and smooth with fingers.
    8. Wipe away any excess medium with a damp paper towel or rag. Try to avoid getting medium on the top of the paper.
    9. Let dry for 8 hours.
    10. Dampen sponge or brush and go over the paper. Let sit 2-5 minutes.
    11. Use your fingers or a soft sponge to roll away, and remove the paper.
    12. Repeat wetting as necessary, using a soft circular motion to remove the paper. You will notice any paper left on the image as the piece begins to dry. If some of the lines appear dull, you might have paper residue still in that area. Wet, and gently remove with fingers or sponge.
    13. Let dry.
    14. Apply Americana Décor Soft Touch Varnish to all sides of the block; let completely dry.
    15. Wrap festive ribbon of your choice around block and tie at the top!
