Snowy Neighborhood Christmas Scene

Create a snowy neighborhood Christmas scene in a glass cube with Americana Multi-Surface.


    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • cardboard
    • artificial snow
    • embellishments of choice
    • square vase



    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Place night sky pattern inside of vase. Using a #6 round brush paint the moon and stars in Cotton Ball. Continue the sky by randomly adding dots with the point of your brush. Using a #8 flat brush paint snow (on bottom) on both front and back of the vase.

    3. Using a cosmetic sponge, dab on two coats of Black Tie to the back of the vase.

    5. Use the house patterns to cut out shapes out of cardboard. Using a #8 flat brush paint the houses and the roofs in the following colors (one of each) Vanilla Shake, Mushroom and Sky Blue. Using a #6 round brush paint the doors in Sky Blue, Vanilla Shake and Mushroom. Using a #6 round brush, paint the windows in Chick.

    7. Using a #6 round brush, paint the windows in Chick. Use a #6 round brush to paint the letters on the roofs "JOY" in Black Tie. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the chimneys in Lipstick. Use a liner brush for details/outline in Black Tie.
    8. Using a #6 round brush dot on lights in Lipstick, Leprechaun, Pumpkin Patch and Sky Blue.
    9. Use craft glue to adhere pieces together. (refer to photo)
    10. Place snow in the vase, followed by the 3 houses, and embellishments of your choice.
