Spring Flower Box

Upcycle a CD crate into a colorful box for spring flowers with Americana Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- palette or plastic plate
- tracing paper
- pencil
- liner brush
- 1/2" flat brush
- unfinished wooden CD crate
INSTRUCTIONS
- Using the 1/2" flat brush, paint front, sides and inside of the crate with Multi-Purpose Sealer. Let dry and follow with a second coat.
- Using Hauser Light Green, paint two to three coats on the outside and inside of the crate, letting each coat dry before starting the next coat.
- Use tracing and transfer paper to trace designs onto the sides of the crate.
- Paint basecoat for flowers and swirls using your choice of colors or match colors to the photo. Paint a second coat for each flower if necessary.
- Paint highlights and line details using the liner brush. (See photo for color placement.) Let dry.
- Once the crate is dry, seal with two coats of DuraClear Satin Varnish.
