    • paper towels
    • ruler
    • 3/8" stencil brush
    • chalk pencil
    • tablecloth or sheet to cover work surface
    • burlap table runner

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Make light marks with a chalk pencil along the center point of the burlap runner length.
    2. Center the Elegant Damask Stencil on the runner at one end.
    3. Place the Decorative Scroll Stencil with its left side edge meeting the right edge of the damask stencil at the tab. (The bottom edge of each stencil should also line up.) Use a ruler to help place the stencils straight on the runner.
    4. Apply Poppy to the surface of the Elegant Damask Stencil with a 3/8" stencil brush.
    5. Apply Poppy to surface of the Decorative Scroll Stencil with a 3/8" stencil brush.
    6. Lift the Elegant Damask Stencil, moving it up along the Decorative Scroll Stencil so that the top and side edges of each stencil line up.
    7. Apply Poppy to create the second damask.
    8. Leave the Elegant Damask Stencil in place to line up with the scroll stencil to the other side, and line it up as described above. Once scroll is in place, lift the Elegant Damask Stencil.
    9. Apply Poppy to the scroll stencil.
    10. Place the Decorative Scroll Stencil on the outside edges of either side of the runner, about 1" from edge, and apply Poppy.
    11. Repeat steps 2-10 until you have reached the opposite end of the runner (Each grouping of damask and scroll patterns is 3" apart.)
    12. Clean the stencils and brush.
