Stenciled birds add interest to a canvas tote bag.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• cardboard
• painter's or masking tape
• burlap tote bag
• 1" stencil brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Lay the tote bag flat and Insert a piece of cardboard inside to prevent paint bleeding through to the opposite side of the bag.
2. Position the Americana Feathered Friends Stencil on the front of the bag. Secure the stencil with painter's or masking tape or hold with fingers. (Be sure the stencil stays in place to avoid smudges.) Use a 1" stencil brush to apply Black Tie.
3. Repeat the stencil images to achieve the desired look (shown: four stencils).
