Textured Wooden Stool with Diamond Pattern

Step up a plain wooden stool with pattern and DecoArt® Suede™ paint.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- sandpaper
- ruler
- wooden stool
- 3/4" flat brush
- X-Acto® knife
- 1/4" masking or quilter's tape
- fan brush
- graphite pencil
- soft white eraser
- diamond template
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Sand any rough edges of the stool and remove dust before painting.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush and Snow White to paint the stool.
- Use a ruler and pencil to measure the stool top, dividing and marking off three sections. Measure and mark off two rows of diamond shapes. Optional: make a template from cardboard and trace the shapes.
- Position and adhere tape on the diamond shape edges. Erase any pencil excess lines with a clean eraser.
- Use a fan brush to apply Midnight Blue on the stool top. Let dry and apply a second coat, if needed.
- To achieve clean lines, run an X-Acto knife down the tape edges. Remove the tape.
- Seal with Suede Varnish, if desired.
