    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

For indoor use only, use Americana Matte Decou-Page.

    1. Sand the plaque surface to remove any rough edges. Wipe clean with a damp paper towel.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Mix Bittersweet with a small amount of Black Tie. Working in small sections, brush onto the plaque using a 1" flat brush. While paint is still wet, wipe some of it off, revealing some of the wood grain. Repeat until the entire surface is covered.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Using white transfer paper, transfer the pattern onto the plaque.
    6. Using a script liner brush, paint "always" and "be thankful" in Paprika. Paint the rest of the text in Mushroom.
    7. Instruction #4
    8. With a #4 flat brush, paint the beveled edge of the plaque in Mushroom.
    9. Instruction #5
    10. Cut three strips of arrows from the Americana Gold Stag Decou-Page Paper. Be sure the left edge of all the strips is straight and even.
    11. Instruction #6
    12. Using a #4 flat brush, brush on Outdoor Decou-Page to the edge of the plaque. Position the paper strip and flatten onto the edges. Brush another layer of Decou-Page onto the edge. Use the end of the brush to get the paper strip into the beveled edges. Around the curves, cut small slits where the paper is naturally trying to fold around the curve.
    13. Instruction #7
    14. Using a sharp craft knife, cut out two smaller deer heads from the Decou-Page Paper. Use Outdoor Decou-Page to adhere onto the plaque with a 1" flat brush. Brush Decou-Page onto the entire surface for added protection.
    15. Instruction #8
    16. Paint every fourth leaf on the leaf garland with Green Beret.
    17. Instruction #9
    18. Cut two pieces of jute twine the same length as the leaf garland. Twirl together. Using E6000 Glue, adhere the garland onto the top right and left of the plaque.
    19. Instruction #10
