Tie Dyed, Stenciled Clipboard

Return to the psychedelic 60s with this groovy tie dyed and stenciled clipboard.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • craft knife
    • clipboard
    • tie dye pattern scrapbook paper
    • 1/8" ribbons in matching colors
    • assorted pony beads
    • punch-out letters to spell "PEACE"

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use a 3/4" flat brush to apply Americana Matte Decou-Page onto the clipboard. Position and press scrapbook paper on the clipboard surface, smoothing out any bubbles with fingers.
    2. Use a 3/4" flat brush to apply an additional coat of Decou-Page over the scrapbook paper.
    3. Use a craft knife to trim away excess scrapbook paper from the clipboard edges.
    4. Use a 3/4" flat brush to apply Decou-Page in the lettering area. Position and adhere lettering to clipboard surface.
    5. Use a cosmetic sponge to dab Calypso Blue inside the peace sign stencil. Remove and clean the stencil.
    6. Use a 3/4" flat brush to apply more Decou-Page over the clipboard.
    7. Thread beads onto the ribbons and secure them to the clipboard by knotting ribbon ends.
    8. Tie beaded ribbons onto the clip at the top of clipboard.
