Traveling to Paris Chalky Finish Suitcase

Make your suitcase stand out in the crowd with Chalky Finish and stencils.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 4" chip brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • suitcase

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Start with an old suitcase. Make sure it is clean and dust free. If you like this color you can base coat your suitcase first with Americana Decor Chalky Finish yesteryear.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Then use a 4" Chip brush and load with Everlasting to dry brush randomly keeping the existing color showing.

    5. Then trace and transfer the Eiffel tower pattern to one side or both sides. Use a #1 Round brush and load with Carbon to paint the outlines.

    7. Continue with same brush and color to shade one side of the tower.Rinse brush.

    9. Then lay suitcase flat, place stencil on top, you can use painter's tape to hold down or just hold with hand. Load a cosmetic sponge with Carbon to fill in the whole stencil. Wash stencil. Let dry completely.

    11. Use 2" Flat brush and load with Ultra Matte Varnish to seal the entire suitcase. Once dry it is ready to hold all of your goodies!
